Tattle connects a person making a small promise with someone who wants to encourage them. Recipient enrollment is paused until sender approval and support setup are complete. Availability depends on the recipient’s country and carrier.
1. Your person shares an invitation
The person using Tattle creates a private link and shares it themselves. Tattle does not send an unsolicited invitation text. Open the link to see who invited you, what updates mean, and how often they can arrive. You can choose No thanks.
2. You verify your own number
Enter your mobile number with its country code and choose Send me a verification code. This requests one Twilio verification SMS. It does not enroll you in daily updates. If the destination is unavailable, Tattle will not request a verification SMS.
3. You choose to join
Enter the six-digit code, read the consent text, check the box, and choose Verify and join. The box starts unchecked. Joining is optional and free. You do not need to install the app. Your permission covers this connection for 30 days in the private pilot.
4. A cheer or a gentle nudge
Your person can schedule up to one text update per day. It can say they kept their promise, answered “not today,” or did not check in. They can choose to send only when they need a nudge. No check-in means no answer was received; it does not prove the goal was missed. The text includes their first name and outcome, but not the goal itself.
Updates are scheduled after the check-in deadline and its 15-minute grace period. Carrier delivery can be delayed or fail. Message and data rates may apply. Tattle is for everyday encouragement, not emergencies or safety monitoring.
5. You can stop at any time
Every update has a private web stop link. Open it and choose Stop my text updates. No login, code, or active invitation is needed. You can also reply STOP where SMS replies are supported, or withdraw through a valid invitation. A text already passed to the carrier may still arrive. Replying START alone does not renew permission; joining again requires a new verified invitation.
Your information stays limited
Your person sees only the last four digits of your number, your connection status, and delivery status. Tattle does not expose your full number to them. We do not sell your phone number or share your SMS consent for third-party marketing.
